LOOK | In solidarity with Women’s Month, the DSWD MIMAROPA Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) successfully conducted the 2-day training on “Orientation on Basic Accounting, Bookkeeping, Financial Literacy, and Gender and Development (GAD)” in Brgy. Baldat, Culion, Palawan on March 20 – 21, 2023. This is in interaction with
the city government of Culion headed by Mayor Virginia Nakachi de Vera.

The 85 participants who are mostly women consist of officers from eight SLP Associations, Child Development Workers, Women’s Associations, and beneficiaries of the Balik Province
New Hope Program (BP2P).

Rizalina Raymundo, CEO of NR General Consulting and Services shared her expertise and knowledge about basic accounting, bookkeeping, and financial literacy while Christine Mycah Alvarez of SLP-Project Development Officer (PDO) II discussed GAD. This activity aims to enhance the skill level, experience, and skills of the beneficiaries to have a stable livelihood.
